School plays have always been a highlight of the calendar at Hayes and in 2004 Mr Gunning re-branded the old production committee as Hayes School Productions, beginning a run of shows that in the last two decades have seen the school hall transformed into an incredible array of settings. The Main School show is performed in March and some years features students from Years 10 and above, in recent years we we have more regularly gone WHOLE SCHOOL under the HayesCreates banner! Recent productions include Oliver, Joseph, DNA, Romeo & Juliet, Guys and Dolls, The Great Gatsby, Urinetown and Les Miserables.

We are currently offering an extra-curricular practical drama club for Year 7 every Tuesday. This club is open to everyone and provides an excellent opportunity for students to work with pupils from outside their drama class on projects where they can develop their skills and confidence in performing.

The annual House Drama Competition features students from Years 7-12. Each of the 4 houses are given a short play to stage - past themes include Roald Dahl, Shakespeare and Fairy Tales - with a cast of students from Years 7-9 and directors from Years 10-12. The plays are rehearsed throughout the summer term and staged on one highly antici
The annual House Drama Competition features students from Years 7-12. Each of the 4 houses are given a short play to stage - past themes include Roald Dahl, Shakespeare and Fairy Tales - with a cast of students from Years 7-9 and directors from Years 10-12. The plays are rehearsed throughout the summer term and staged on one highly anticipated night in early July! Despite the rivalries, the performances are above all a celebration of the hard work and talent of all the students involved.
